Keith Carodine, PhD
Twenty-five years with the University of Florida Athletic Association, an NCAA assistant basketball coach, and the reason Peak exists.
Dr. C spent 25 years at the University of Florida Athletic Association before moving into fitness work full time. Before that he played college basketball and coached as an assistant at the NCAA Division 1 and Division 2 levels. He has practiced Kung Fu for more than 15 years.
The turn toward training was personal. A routine check-up put his blood pressure at 145/99 and his A1C at 6.2, which is pre-diabetic. A doctor told him both numbers were dangerous. He committed to five or six workouts a week and changed how he ate. The numbers came back to normal, and he earned his Kung Fu name, Te'ng, along the way.
He builds programs on NASM's research-based Optimal Performance Training model and has trained closely with the University of Florida's strength coaches. Every new Peak member starts with a strategy and evaluation session with him.
