Strength, Stability & Balance

A class built for the more mature member. Overall and core strength, flexibility and balance, the things that keep you independent, coached at a pace that suits you.

Who It Is For

Built for the More Mature Member

This is our class for members 62 and above. It works the same things as any good strength program: overall and core strength, flexibility and balance, at a pace and a load that make sense for a body with some mileage on it.

Our head trainer is a NASM Senior Fitness Specialist and a Corrective Exercise Specialist, so joint issues and old injuries get worked around rather than ignored. Members here have arrived with hip, hamstring and back trouble and trained through it.

What You Work On

Four Things That Matter Later

Not a watered-down version of the other classes. These are the capacities that decide how the next twenty years go.

01

Overall Strength

Enough strength to carry, lift and climb without thinking about it. That is the difference between managing and being managed.

02

Core Strength

A trunk that holds you upright and steady, which is where most balance actually comes from.

03

Flexibility

Range of motion you can still use, so reaching, bending and turning stay easy.

04

Balance

Trained deliberately, because falling is the thing that changes everything and it is largely preventable.

Coming Back From Something

Post-Rehab Welcome

Finished physical therapy and not sure what happens next? That gap is where a lot of progress gets lost. We run post-rehab programming to pick up where your therapist left off.

  • Assessment before anything is loaded
  • Modifications made on the spot for joint issues
  • Coached every session, never left to it
  • Progress at whatever pace your body allows
When

Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Strength, Stability & Balance runs multiple dedicated sections, three days a week, starting at 10:15 am. Late enough in the morning to be comfortable.
